We are told to be meek. We are told to be harmless as dove. We are told that if someone slaps us on our cheek, then turn to him the other. If we are compelled to go one mile, go two. If someone demands our coat, give him our cloak also. No limitations, right? If someone condemns or bans our faith, we should give up our faith. Oops, wait a minute! Does that belong in there? Do we obey God or man? When the world tries to strip us of our right to our faith or to worship God, are we to let it? There are limitations, aren’t there. When man takes the place of God and seeks to govern our worship, it is time to disobey man and obey God. Acts 5:29 “Peter and the other apostles replied: “We must obey God rather than men!”

We are to obey the laws of the land, but only in as much as those laws do not contradict or defame God’s word. God’s will is superior to all others and must come first in our lives. Be faithful till death. It is time for Christians to stand up for Jesus. We have become so entangled with the world’s idea of one another that we have given up faith which comes from God’s Word. Let’s us look at God’s word for direction like Joshua in Joshua 24:14-15 “Now fear the LORD and serve Him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your forefathers worshiped beyond the River and in Egypt, and serve the LORD. But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers served beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.”

Decide for yourself on whom you will follow and follow to the fullest. God has already given us His Word and now it is time for us to give Him our heart and life. Look to the cross of Christ and He will lift you up. Make a choice and stand by it and may we never limit our faith. Have a great week!img_0467-2
