We long for a redemption that is seen (Romans 8:22-25). We want to see the result of our faith. We would like for faith in Jesus Christ to tie this life up into a nice neat gift from God that we can admire.

But alas, we live on a cursed earth, a place where darkness works hard trying to veil the face of our Savior, a place where sin and circumstances storm the events of life seeking to pry loose from us our hope. Praise God! We do not face the darkness of this world or the storms of life’s circumstances without an anchor. No, we have hope as an anchor for our souls, firm and secure, behind the veil, where Christ has entered on our behalf (Hebrews 6:18-20; Matthew 7:24-27; Acts 4:12; John 14:6).
