Dear Brothers & Sisters, Thank you for your contribution to The Children’s Home of Lubbock. Your steadfast support for our children makes all the difference. The end of school has unleashed our boys and girls upon the campus as they enjoy cavorting on the playground, visiting the rabbits and goats at the Animal Care Center, and spending their allowance on little trinkets at our Sanctuary store. We keep Rogers Library open for the little ones who wish to finish their summer reading list early, but others are content to play basketball and jump rope for the time being. The laughter of children now fills my ears morning, noon, and night! We are thankful for your partnership with us. God blesses us through you. Blessings, Jimmy Moore, President

Trusting in His Grace, Corky and Lila Cox

Dear Merkel Church of Christ, I want to tell all of you from the bottom of my heart thank you for the gift card that was sent to me and my family. I can’t tell you enough how much that means to me. Thank you for supporting me and my family during the past 5 years and loving us when we didn’t love ourselves. I feel like I will always have a home in Merkel and all of you are dearly missed. I have never been involved in a church where the members care for each other like family. All your love and kindness has truly touched my heart and I will forever be a changed person. The children and I are slowly adapting to city life. We have found a church home and are beginning to blossom. All 3 kids are enjoying their schools and I am loving my job. I am so fulfilled each day because I get to show God’s love an acceptance to everyone that walks through the doors. It is true what they say about doing what you love for a living, “If you love what you do you never have to work a day in your life.” I keep all of you in my prayers and I hope everyone is well. We will be down to visit soon.

*Dear Church family, I’m sorry it’s taken me so long to do this, but I wanted to thank everyone who contributed money to send to my dear friend Savannah Higgins in Las Vegas, New Mexico. For those that don’t know, her father passed away in January and her mother has very aggressive intestinal cancer! It truly meant so much to me for you all to care for her and her family in such a practical way and it blessed her immensely to know people she’d never met would meet her needs all because we serve and love the same Lord! Her mother is not responding well to treatment and the prognosis isn’t good. Savannah is the only believer in her family so as you can imagine that adds a lot more stress to the situation. Please continue to pray for her and her family during this time. Thank you again and much love, Jaylee Poindexter
