Jenna Bryan was baptized 7/1 by her father, Michael. She will be a junior this year at Merkel H.S. We rejoice with her family and the angels in heaven on her decision to put Christ on in baptism.
The church of Christ is non-denominational and has no central headquarters or president. The head of the church is Jesus Christ himself (Ephesians 1:22-23). Each congregation of the church of Christ is autonomous but we use the Word of God (the Bible) to unite the the church into One Faith (Ephesians 4:3-6). We follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and his holy Apostles, and not the teachings of man.
There is no membership required in any formal organization. When you obey the call of Christ, or are saved, you are part of his church. Once you are part of Christ’s church you will naturally want to associate with other members of the church of Christ. By worshiping with a congregation you will fall under the guidance of a group of elders that help ensure the congregation is based in Biblical principles.
