A big thank you to Tracey Carey for taking on the children’s worship bag ministry.  She is filling the bags and keeping them straight.

Dee will be at the building for early registration for the 2012-2013 school on Thursday, April 26^th, from 1:00-4:00 p.m. and Thursday, May 17^th, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. T/T School is for children 3-4 years of age, must potty trained and they need to bring the birth certificate & shot record.

A Baby Shower for Jenny Gonzalez Saturday, May 5, from 10:00-11:30 a.m. in the home of Charlotte Carey. Her selections are at Target, Kids Village & Babies ‘R’ Us online. Her colors are hot pink, lime green, bright turquoise blue, with zebra print. She is expecting a girl, Kailynn Lee.

Everyone is invited to attend the annual program on Thursday, April 26^th, at 6:00 p.m. in the auditorium. Please come enjoy the program, encourage the kids & teachers and meet the parents. Also, Dee is asking for homemade cookies for the reception, bring them to church Wednesday evening or drop them off on Thursday.

Our elders along with the deacons & ministers are working on Friends’ Sunday, April 29^th. They are encouraging all our members to bring friends, neighbors, family, former members who have moved away, or anyone else you can think of to come for our special day. We will have Bible classes, worship service, a potluck meal then return that evening for 5^th Sunday Singing. Our goal for that day is to have 200 or more in attendance.

-Shower planning meeting for Savannah (Brandt) Adames this Sunday after evening service.  If you want to help with the shower and cannot be at this meeting see Mary Schrampfer.

-Shower for Savannah will be Sunday, February 26^th, from 4:00-5:30, in the home of Cassie Beaird, 821 Ash Street. She is registered at Target & Kids Village and is expecting a boy (Rowdy Ryan Adames).

Sunday is the last day to sign up for our Ladies’ Day scheduled for Saturday, February 4th, from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon.  Carla Sandusky is the speaker and the theme is “Happiness”. Lunch will be provided.

This Sunday after evening service we will meet in the family center at 6:00 p.m. for singing & devo. Immediately following service we will share a meal together. Please bring sandwiches, chips, dips, and desserts.  “Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Ephesians 5:19-20

We sent 150 individual Christmas treat bags to the troops in Afghanistan. They were a Big Hit with all the troops, the chocolate was the biggest hit.

Thank you to everyone who donated and made this possible.  We still have some money left over and will send a few more care packages in February, they will be the last packages we will be sending.
