Our present life is fortified by, tied to, and has as its basis the “power of an indestructible life.” – Hebrews 7:16
Hebrews 1:3 – The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After He had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.
Hebrews 2:17–18 For this reason he had to be made like his brothers in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that He might make atonement for the sins of the people. 18 Because He Himself suffered when he was tempted, He is able to help those who are being tempted.
Hebrews 4:14–16 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has gone through (into) the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet was without sin. 16 Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
Hebrews 9:13-14 – The blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkled on those who are ceremonially unclean sanctify them so that they are outwardly clean. 14 How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, (useless rituals) so that we may serve the living God!
Hebrews 9:24 – For Christ did not enter a man-made sanctuary that was only a copy of the true one; He entered heaven itself, now to appear for us in God’s presence.
We can absolutely count on Christ’s ministry/priesthood, because it is based not on regulation of ancestry… but on the basis of the power of an indestructible life. (Hebrews 7:16)
